This show is NAN (North American Nationals) approved, in which 1st and 2nd place horses in all breed classes (except fun classes) will receive a NAN card.
Room information: Rooms are normally $99 during September. Tell them you are with the model horse show and you should get the price of $84.99. Breakfast is not included, but they have a VERY good breakfast buffet at TGIFriday's, which is attached to the hotel. It is less than $10 and if you are a guest, you get one or two dollars off! We will bring some donuts and juice to the show as well to share.
Directions:
Take I-15 South
to exit #269 Orem University Parkway and head EAST towards the mountains. Go
straight on University Parkway for 3.7 miles. Turn RIGHT on Freedom Blvd and you
will see the Courtyard/TGIFriday's on your left.

Fees: $45 for a full table (8 feet long and about 30 inches wide). $35 for a "half" table (individual tables that are 18 inches wide and 6 feet long). BOTH INCLUDE LUNCH.
LUNCH for those who are not showing will cost an extra $11 per person (the actual cost of lunch is more, but I will cover that). Please include payment for that with the entry fee. It is okay if it is a seperate payment.
Refunds: There will be NO refunds for no-shows, for people asked to leave because of disruption of the show, or for anyone leaving early. Refunds will be considered up to two weeks before the show.
Proxy showing: Cost is $3 per horse, limit 10 per person. May be shown by another entrant for the owner of the horse, however fees should be paid for those proxy horses. Please send entry form with name of your proxy shower. The entry card must show the name of the horse owner AND the proxy shower.
Selling: Exhibitors may sell/trade pieces from your table, since I always like to see what eye candy is out there with a pricetag on it! But because space is limited, try not to let it take over your table or pay for a larger table specifically to sell.
Awards/Placings: Ribbons will be awarded for 1st – 6th place. The first and second place horses will be called back after their respective divisions for champ/reserve champ to be selected. Prizes for Champions and Reserve Champions will be given.
Class Limit: 3 models per class per owner.
Class Info: Classes may be split, combined or cancelled, depending upon the number of entries, at the discretion of the judge and/or showholder. Please do not include halters unless they are appropriate for their breed. If in doubt, leave it out! Also, easily tipped models may be placed on their side with the understanding that the judge may pick it up to inspect the other side. There will be approximately THREE MINUTES between classes, since we want to keep the show moving. Please stay on your toes!
Judges: The mother/daughter team of Cristine Holt (guest judge from Iowa) and Tara Oliver (the local). Both have been involved in the hobby for 15 years and some judging under their belts. But remember that classes will be based on the judge’s opinion, which varies from person to person! So please be content with the judge’s decisions.
3x5 cards: Each entry must have a 3”x5” card. If you do not have 3”x5” cards, please ask the showholder for some prior to the beginning of the show. On the up side, print clearly or type the horse's name, class number, breed and gender. On the downside, clearly print or type your name or initials. Entries without Entry Cards will be disqualified; 3”x5” cards are necessary for the show results. You may have a foot tag on your model for ID purposes, but for security purposes, please make sure that the only info in view is the name, gender, and/or breed of the model.
Documentation: Documentation for your horses is welcomed, especially in the cases of unusual breeds, colors or coat patterns. Please don’t assume the judges know everything there is to know about every breed and color. As a courtesy to other showers, please limit the size of your documentation to a maximum of 8-1/2 x 11 inches.
Divisions: HALTER ONLY. There will be CM/AR, OF Plastic, CM/AR Mini, and OF Plastic Mini. Mini models are little-bit/Pebbles scale and smaller. The larger divisions will be judged first, then the mini divisions will be judged afterwards, most likely in the afternoon. There is ONE Workmanship class for CM
Results: Results from the show will be emailed to entrants and posted to the website after the show. If you prefer a hard copy by snail mail, please provide a LSASE.
Door prizes and Auctions: There will be door prizes called throughout the show. There will also be silent auctions that will close promptly at 3. We will hold raffles and sell tickets at 2/$1.
Food: A sandwich and salad buffet WILL BE PROVIDED at the show by the hotel. The fee for lunch is included in your entry fee. The actual cost of lunch is more than I am charging the entrant, but I'd like to keep fees reasonable and it's nice to have everyone in the general area. There is a courtyard outside of the show hall and also a couple of lobby areas in which you can eat if you prefer to not eat at your table. The show hall will not be left unattended. Please see note above about the cost of non-entrants to eat as well, which we of course are more than happy to do!
